To Our Community

As I reflect on the past few weeks, I know I’m certainly not the only one experiencing a whirlwind of emotions. Simply put: this is hard.
Over the course of my career, however, my Chicago SHRM team and community have lifted me up and provided the support and guidance to get through challenges. Our unprecedented situation with COVID-19 is no exception.
I know your hands are full right now looking out for your organization and your people, and Chicago SHRM is here to look out for you.
In recent years, Chicago SHRM has focused on building our virtual programming and online communities to drive engagement, connection and conversation from wherever you are, and this work is even more crucial today. We’ve developed even more opportunities over the coming weeks for our community to continue expanding and building connections online: remote work resources, more webinars, and new online programs. Our members and partners are thought leaders who are willing to generously share their resources, expertise, and insights in the coming months and beyond.
Staying Connected During COVID-19: Send us your questions, feedback, and ideas on our LinkedIn Group. Let us see how our community can support you!
Stay social: Keep the networking going, via our social media channels. FacebookTwitterLinkedIn.
An Expanded Online Events Calendar: Join our virtual community!
As many of our previously-scheduled in-person events are being transferred online, you’ll see our online events calendar fill up with opportunities to meet and grow relationships while brushing up on a topic that will help you grow in your career… all without leaving your desk (or kitchen table). Take a look, and sign up for one—we’d love to see you there!
When times are tough, it’s your community that rises to support you. As always, the entire Chicago SHRM team and I are here to be your support to navigate these times with you and to connect with you. We’ve got this.
– Courtney Templin, Chicago SHRM President
